Cindy Hartman

Cindy has been involved in the dog world for over 25 years. Starting in 1980, she trained and competed with a mixed breed in obedience and junior showmanship - winning some top awards both in 4-H and matches at the time.

Cindy acquired her first purebred, a 2 year old Border Collie, in 1982. Since then, she has trained 2 Border Collies through Utility with a 3rd earning a CD.

In 1985 Cindy purchased her first Schipperke, Dancer. Dancer went on to earn two High in Trials with scores of 198 and 199 out of the Novice class. After a long search, another Schipperke, a female this time, was added to the household. Sprite was purchased to be the next obedience star, but Sprite and Cindy discovered agility in 1994. Sprite became the first Schipperke to earn an MX, AXJ, MXJ and a NATCH.

Cindy started instructing people and their dogs in 1990, quickly earning a reputation for working with some of the more difficult breeds and always keeping training fun for both the dogs and the owners. One of her strengths in teaching is her creativity in working with many different breeds and temperaments of dogs.

Andy Hartman

While Andy has always had dogs as part of his family - there are some great hunting dogs and pets of the past, he was introduced to the “world of dogs” when he acquired Taz (Belgian Tervuren) at 7 months old. Quickly, he and Taz discovered agility, and Taz was competing in no time at all. Taz had lots of drive and plenty of speed. Learning to run and handle Taz was like learning to drive on a Mazzarati. Taz was retired in 2001.

Andy then started handling our Boo (Border Collie) in agility until Boo’s retirement in December, 2003, just shy of her 11th birthday. Andy put a CD on Boo after 8 short weeks of training at the age of 12.

Zest (Border Collie) is Andy’s up and coming star. They have developed into an exciting team and neither Zest nor Andy leave anything on the course. Zest is well on her way to earning her MACH.

Andy also handles Tori (Parson Russell Terrier) in agility and earthdog. Tori is well on her way to earning her MACH and Master Earthdog titles.
